Grangegorman is declaring its independence from Stoneybatter with a charity gig next weekend.
As anyone familiar with D7 will know, Grangegorman has oft been subsumed by its larger neighbour but the area has seen a resurgence in recent times.
The opening of new pub The Barbers has definitely brought life to the neighbourhood and proprietor Chris Darby has decided to host a definitive Independent Day for Grangegorman on March 11th.
All for a good cause, of course.
Paddy Casey will headline a great night of music, with performances from Ollie Cole and Gavin Fox from Turn, Nathan Connolly of Snow Patrol fame, and Steve Gormley.
Tickets, priced at €20, are available from the bar and all funds raised will go towards the very worthy cause of the Capuchin Food Shelter.
Sounds like it’s going to be a cracking night…
