It Looks Like Garth Brooks Will Play Three Irish Gigs Next Year

James Fenton

Have you forgiven him or like us are the emotions still too raw?

Three years ago Garth Brooks went to war with the Croke Park residents and ended up canceling all of his scheduled five gigs after only being granted a licence to perform three shows.

Now, it appears that the country star may just be making an appearance in the capital four years on from the debacle.

According to the Irish Daily Mail, Brooks is in advanced talks to confirm three Irish shows for next summer with the rumoured venues being in Dublin, Limerick and Cork, most likely in the newly refurbished Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The Dublin show is unlikely to be at Croke Park given Garth’s previous issues with Dublin City Council.

Aiken Promotions have denied any involvement while MCD didn’t comment when we reached out for confirmation of the rumours.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted as things develop.
