Dublin welcomes its first indoor padel club ‘House of Padel’

Contrary to popular belief, padelling is not a sport designed by the Simpsons character Jasper Beardsley to encourage Vietnam-war-era discipline amongst the younger generations. It's a very popular sport, a hybrid of tennis and squash, and has experienced exponential growth in recent years due to its accessibility to all levels of players from beginner to advanced. According to recent statistics, the number of padel courts worldwide is set to double by 2026 (+112.5%) from 40,000 currently to 85,000. House of Padel sees Ireland following suit in this exciting global sports trend. The social sport has become a firm favourite of international athletes such as David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Dublin is getting its first indoor dedicated padel club, called the quite Gucci-coded 'House of Padel'. Located on Old Belgard Road, the club will have indoor padel courts alongside a state-of-the-art sauna, ice bath plunge pools, and a health food bar and will offer yoga & pilates classes to all levels. The club is open to Padel enthusiasts, athletes, and newcomers.

Speaking about the opener, Founder and CEO Will McGlade said, "at House of Padel, the focus extends beyond mere recreation; it's about fostering a sense of community among enthusiasts and providing an avenue for personal growth through sport. Our new complex is complete with four meticulously designed indoor courts, as well as Ireland’s first ever pickleball court. Pickleball, a sport that began as a niche activity, has also swiftly evolved into a global phenomenon, captivating players of all ages and skill levels. And pickleball is generally thought to be the next padel craze. The new court will offer Dubliners the first ever space here to embrace this sport’s fast-paced, fun, competitive and yet inclusive style."

We're thrilled to introduce Dublin's first indoor padel club, offering enthusiasts a haven to hone their skills, top-notch facilities and the comfort of knowing you never need to worry about the unpredictable Irish weather".

Membership costs €40 per month, but the facilities are also open to non-members coming and cost €40 per hour for non peak hours, 7AM to 3PM and €50 per hour from 4PM to 10.30PM seven days a week. You'll find House of Padel at 5 Old Belgard Road, Cookstown Industrial Estate, Dublin 24, it will be open from 6.30am to 11pm Monday - Friday and 7am to 10.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
