A Man Has Presented Himself To Gardai After Suspected Hit-And-Run On Parnell Road

Gardai are interviewing a man who presented himself at Sundrive Road Garda Station following a suspected hit-and-run incident that occurred on Saturday night/early Sunday morning. 

The Irish Independent reports that Dylon Fitzgibbon (24) sustained serious head and leg injuries when he was on way his way home from a night out Dublin with friends on Saturday. 

Dylon was found lying on the road at Parnell Rd/Clogher Rd Dublin 12 at approximately 5.55am Sunday morning and investigating Gardaí believe that he may have been struck by a motor vehicle which failed to stop at the scene.

“He has injuries to one of his knees, as well as head injuries, and doesn’t know how it all happened,” a friend told Independent.ie.

It’s understood that the Dylon made his way from Camden St at approximately 4.30am towards Portobello, Harrington St, South Circular Rd, Harold’s Cross Bridge, Parnell Rd and Clogher Rd.
