An apartment block in Tallaght had to be evacuated last night after a fire broke out in its underground car park.
Three vehicles were engulfed in flames and eight units from Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.
The building’s gas and electricity supplies were isolated as a precaution and DFB thanked Gas Networks Ireland and ESB for their assistance.

The fire was brought under control within two hours and fans were used to clear the apartments of smoke and dangerous gases.
By about 3am most residents were able to access their apartments again, but a small number needed to be rehoused.
