BREAKING: Man In His 20s Dies Following An Assault In Dublin

A man has passed away after an assault in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The incident is understood to have happened at around 3:10 am.

Gardaí say the man, who was in his 20s, was attending a bonfire at St Mark's housing estate in Clondalkin when he was chased by a number of people across the Neilstown Road into Liscarne Gardens where he was fatally injured.

There have been no arrests as of yet and the man's remains are still at the scene. 

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time contact them in Ronanstown station.
