Students To Return To School Today As Teachers Strike Is Called Off
The ASTI announced the news last night
Students at secondary schools across Ireland will return to school this morning after this week's teachers' strike was called off.
Up to 250,000 students had been forced to stay home after unions took industrial action as part of a dispute over newly-qualified teachers' pay.
It was confirmed last night that the ASTI has directed its members to return to work, with the strike put on hold to allow for talks.
