Bumbling Man Arrested After Robbing From Shop With Armed Gardaí Inside

A 29-year-old man has been arrested after he robbed a Centra store with armed Gardaí inside.

The armed raider entered the shop on Coultry Road in Ballymun at around 7.10pm yesterday evening before threatening staff and making off with around €800 in cash.

Two members of the local detective unit were at the back of the store examining CCTV from a previous incident and managed to catch the man on foot after he fled the scene.

The assailant was taken to Ballymun Garda station.
