A nostalgic video shared by RTE Archives today of a Santa visit in 1982 at the beloved department store Switzers, on Grafton Street, has us all full of fuzzy festive feels.Â
The video shows adorably polite children line up to tell Santa Claus what they want for Christmas…One shy little girl who already owns a cot and a pram is hoping to get a Tiny Tears doll for Christmas, as she wants to put her in a pram and little to say to Santa, whereas a group of boys are eager to talk and one even gives Santa directions to his house. Ahh, simpler times.Â
We reckon that the kids in the video would be in their 40s now… Can you recognise any family members (or even yourself!)
Can you recognise this little dote?
Do you know these charmers?
What about this boy with hat style beyond his time?
Or these devilishly cute siblings?
But the main question… Does anyone know Santa Claus?!
You can watch the full video clip of the Santa visit on RTE Archives. It’s incredibly cute.
