Convicted Prisoner Did A ‘Full Monty’ On The Roof Of Mountjoy Yesterday

A convicted armed robber escaped from his enclosed area in Mountjoy Prison yesterday afternoon and stripped completely naked on top of the roof.

Sources told TheJournal.ie that the man (23) was looking for a package which had allegedly been thrown onto the roof, and when he couldn’t find it he stripped to the nip.

Trained negotiators spoke with the prisoner and he was brought down to safety an hour after the incident, at around 4pm.

The Irish Prison Service confirmed that an investigation is ongoing into the incident, and the prisoner will now face the possibility of losing a number of privileges in the jail due to his actions.
