Dublin’s Most Iconic Coffee Shop Will Reopen Next Month After A Huge Revamp

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

Bewley’s Oriental Café has been greatly missed since it closed its doors in February 2015. The refurbishment was said to take six months, yet two years later here we are.

Bewley’s was always the perfect spot to grab a scone and a cup of tea while bang smack in the heart of the city. A day’s shopping on Grafton Street was not complete without popping in there for some grub.

The popular café is set to reopen its doors next month after a €12 million revamp.

The revamp will include seating for 500 people, a reopening of the side entrance on Johnson’s Court, a number of open fires and the restoration of its Harry Clarke windows.

We are super excited to see such an iconic building open its doors to the people of Dublin once again.
