At least six fire crews have been tackling a blaze in Greenogue Business Park since midnight last night in the west of the city.
They are asking everyone downwind of the Greenogue fire to close windows as a precaution and again asking drivers not to be distracted by the smoke plume on the N7.
About half an hour ago, the crew tweeted saying they were making good progress with the fire, “our turntable ladder is acting as a water tower, pumping water directly onto the fire. We’re also using a Terex grab to remove material.

They are advising people to remain careful when travelling to work and to not get distracted.
“Operations are continuing at the recycling centre fire in Greenogue, the smoke plume is visible from the Naas Rd, if you’re heading to work shortly, please don’t get distracted.”
Stay safe guys.
