The Irish Independent is reporting that an American Airlines flight has had to divert to Shannon Airport after passengers and cabin crew fell ill.
The transatlantic flight was heading from Madrid to New York and an emergency was declared and a diversion was put in place.
Flight attendants and passengers complained that they began to feel sick after an odour was detected onboard.
The flight landed at Shannon Airport just after half 4.
American Airlines have not commented on the matter as of yet.
