Dublin commuters are in for more travel chaos as Luas strikers have just announced they are adding four further day-long stoppages in April – this time, spread over two weekends at the beginning and end of the month.
This is on top of the planned shutdowns the service for St Patrick’s day and the rising events over Easter, and several strike days that have already taken place.
Luas drivers have served notice of further industrial action next month. They say they will strike again on 2, 3, 23 and 24 April.

Here’s the full, updated list of upcoming strike days
- Thursday, March 17 (St Patrick’s Day)
- Sunday, March 27 (Easter Sunday)
- Monday, March 28 (Easter Monday; 1916 Commemoration)
- Saturday, April 2
- Sunday, April 3
- Saturday, April 23
- Saturday, April 24
The only shred of good news is that talk of an all out strike seems to have been quelled for now – but nonetheless, Dubliners will be hoping that this gets sorted very soon.
