Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses After Tourist Struck By Car In City Centre

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a tourist was struck by a car in the early hours of yesterday morning, the Irish Independent reports.

The 34-year-old man was crossing Trinity Street at the junction of Dame Street at around 12.30am on Friday. He remains in a critical condition with head injuries while a woman he was with received minor injuries in the same incident.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene. Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Dame Street area between 12.15am and 12:45am yesterday to contact them at Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 666 9000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
