Iconic Dublin bar The George has reopened with business as usual after an evacuation on Thursday evening.
The weekly Thirsty Thursday event with Davina Devine was in full swing when revellers were rushed out and four fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene.
Twitter user Concon said: “We were in the middle of the drag show and it stopped suddenly and Davina [the host] said to ‘chat amongst yourselves’.
“She came back on and said that we needed to evacuate, so we were all on George’s street and the fire brigade came. The bouncers said that it was closed until further notice.”
