Guy Cons Dublin Girl Out Of €1500, All With Thanks To McGregor

An Irish conman, using the alias Wesley O’Brien, tricked a Dublin woman, who understandably wishes to remain anonymous out of €1,500 this weekend – by pretending he was Conor McGregor’s childhood friend and claiming to be the nephew of Irish Billionaire Denis O’Brien.

We have become aware of this story because of the Facebook status posted by the anonymous lady’s friend, Lauren Caffrey-Byrne.

Caffrey-Byrne starts off the post by saying:

EVERYONE SHARE THIS TO WARN OTHER GIRLS IN DUBLIN AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES!!!!

My good friend, (who wishes to remain anonymous) met the guy below on ‘Plenty of Fish’. He used the alias Wesley O’Brien, claiming to be the nephew of Irish Billionaire Denis O’Brien and after some chatting, they eventually agreed to meet up for a date where he wooed my friend and subsequently asked her to be his girlfriend.

Since posting to Facebook Lauren has stated she has been inundated with messages from other women who’ve also fallen victim to ‘Wesley’.
