If you were in Dublin 8 earlier today, you might have got a bit of a surprise.
While the temperatures have definitely got a bit more chilly over the past few days, it’s safe to say that nobody was expecting to see snowfall in the city centre.
However, that’s exactly what many passersby discovered close to St James’ Gate and quickly turned to Twitter and Instagram to share some magical images!

Before you start stocking up on hot water bottles, we better let you in on the real reason for such scenes.
Guinness was filming today for its Christmas advert so the picturesque snowfall was all for show.
