Looking To Stay In Dublin? It Could Be Harder Than You Think

There is currently a severe lack of available hotel rooms in Dublin, with occupancy rates at an all-time high.

According to TheJournal.ie and hotel industry analysts STR, hotels in the capital were nearly 94% full on average last month and room rates have risen even further. 

In the last five years tourists visiting Dublin have increased by one third, while available accommodation has shrunk by 6%. 

There are an abundance of plans for new hotels and further extensions on existing hotels, but most won’t be ready until 2020. One new hotel opened in the capital this year – The Holiday Inn on O’Connell Street.
