Luas commuters are warned to expect delays following a violent incident on a Luas track along the Red Line earlier this evening.

The Independent.ie reports that Luas services were not running between Abbey Street and the Point because of the incident, which occurred under the railway bridge at Beresford place.

Witnesses told the Irish Independent that two men became involved in a scuffle with one ending up lying on the tracks.

Emergency services were alerted and one man was arrested at the scene, while another was brought to hospital.
