A Man Was Shot And Killed In Lucan Early This Morning

A man has been murdered in Lucan, Dublin, early this morning.

As reported in TheJournal.ie, it is thought that there was an earlier altercation in the Neilstown area and the man was followed to Lucan where he was attacked.

The murder occurred at around 4am in the Glebe area of Lucan, and Gardaí are currently investigating the incident.

UPDATE: It is understood the man had initially been shot at in a house and was then attacked and run over in a housing estate approximately 7km away, as reported in Independent.ie. Local sources the publication that the victim of the attack was left lying on the road.

A silver-blue Mazda car, which was very badly damaged, was left at the scene. 

It is understood there is a separate crime scene in the Liscarne area near Ronanstown and that the two crime scenes are connected.
