Overhead cables on the M50’s Northbound toll bridge have been cut according to the Irish Independent, forcing the Dublin motorway to be closed for a time and reportedly causing over €100,000 worth of damage.
The incident is understood to have happened yesterday evening at about 9:30pm.
A man cut a number of wires on the bridge, shutting down the tag-reader software and thus allowing motorists to pass through “toll free.”
