Mother And Three Children Critical After City Centre Apartment Complex Fire

A woman and three children are in hospital after a devastating fire broke out in a flat in Inchicore last night.

The Journal reports that the woman, who is in her 30s, is in a critical condition in St James’s Hospital, while an eight-year-old boy, a 13-year-old boy and and a seven-year-old girl also hospitalised.

The eight-year-old boy has been described as also being in a critical condition.

The blaze broke out on Tyrone Road at about 11pm last night, with Dublin Fire Brigade confirming that five fire engines and five ambulances attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
