Over 100 people took to the streets of Shankill last night in support of assault victims in the area.
The Take Back The Night march was in response to several attacks in the Shankill/Killiney area in the past year, with organisers saying that it aimed to “reclaim a space in which community members should feel safe”.
It was reported last week that gardai are surveying CCTV from DART lines in the area and are investigating the possibility that the attacker could have used public transport to make a quick getaway.
Strong turnout for tonight’s #takebackthenight walk in #Shankill. Sad that this event is necessary, well done @emilymufasa for organising! pic.twitter.com/sKgoLijbCB
