Thousands of commuters travel through Heuston Station for work every morning but many have been hit by delays today.
According to AA Roadwatch, a mechanical fault had led to significant delays on several services – including rush hour trains between Dublin and Portlaoise/Cork services.
All northbound and southbound services through Connolly were also delayed by the fault but all are believed to be back in operation now.
