Storm Brian is sweeping across the country and right now its centre is above Kildare.
Just two hours ago the weather system’s centre was above Galway but it’s moved quickly to the east side of the country.
With gusts of 110-130km/h being expected today, there’s now a Status Yellow wind warning in effect for the counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Limerick and Tipperary.
Take a look at Storm Brian’s position right now, according to Met Éireann.
#StormBrian now centred over Kildare.
Expect heavy downpours in & around the system with strong NW’ly winds following. Easing this evening. pic.twitter.com/62SZbyBYUR— Met Éireann (@MetEireann) October 21, 2017
