No matter how many times we see it, this never gets old.
Every year on St Patrick’s Day, buildings and monuments around the world are lit up in green, as all eyes around the world are cast upon our little island.
The Tourism Ireland Global Greening initiative was a roaring success once again this year, and they’ve got the pics to prove it; here are some of the best.
From Brasilia…
… to Dubai
And the iconic Amsterdam sign at Schiphol airport
From Lublin to Dublin
And to Den Bla Planet in Copenhagen
Dubai, as always, gets well in on the action
And even the most spectacular man-made structure in the world is lit up
Malta…
Jakarta…
… and even Wellington, which is home to thousands of Irish people
High up on Mount Ulriken in Norway, the TV mast is coloured in tribute to the Emerald Isle
As well as Warsaw…
Madrid…
… while in Paris, the Big Wheel in the Tuileries Gardens isn’t the only monument to go green
… it’s joined by the beautiful Sacré-Cœur Basilica
The Weert windmill
And Abu Dhabi
And… Brighton!
With yer man. Look at him there.
Thanks Tourism Ireland for the pics
