The emergency services were called to Baldoyle last night to tackle a bonfire that was set beneath Irish Rail power lines.

Shortly after 7pm, Kilbarrack Station was called to deal with the blaze that started under electrified cables, which had to be deactivated before the fire fighters could safely extinguish the flames.

This is just one of several fires Dublin Fire Brigade has had to deal with over the Halloween season and they are urging the public to please refrain from setting bonfires in the interest of safety.
