Pizza Delivery Driver Attacked And Beaten By Teenagers In Tallaght

A pizza delivery driver was seriously assaulted last Sunday night during a delivery route by teenagers in Tallaght.

The Echo reports that Satheesan Narayanan, who is originally from India, had just delivered food to a house in Glenshane Drive, Tallaght when a gang of six teenagers surrounded him, punching him to ground before robbing him of €40.

Mr Narayanan described the horrific incident to the Echo: “I just came out after delivering. I was attacked by around six teenagers, aged fifteen to eighteen.

“They just came and punched me in the face. They didn’t say anything. Blood was all over my face. With force, they pulled my money from my belt.”

He has not returned to work since, having suffered with two swollen eyes and left shaken after the attack.

Gardai confirmed that the are investigating the robbery: “The incident involved a delivery driver who was accosted by a number of youths. Following an altercation a small sum of cash was taken. The man received minor injuries.
