You'll remember Australian musician, Sam Brittain, from a piece we shared with you all a few weeks ago about a love letter he wrote to Dublin.
If you didn't catch it, watch now:
Sam first came to Dublin two years ago, and fell in love with our fair city. (Can you blame him?!)
But now, as he sets off on a four month Australian tour, he has released 'Sláinte', his latest song.
"It has been lovely to call Dublin home for the past little while.
When I think about why I love Dublin it all stems back to one simple thing, a passion for music that runs deep, hot and fast through the veins of of this city. Combine this inherent love for art and culture with all the weird and wonderful characters you meet here; especially when your life revolves around singing and playing guitar in the street."
Sam's latest song is about the same man from the love letter, Jim, he met all the way back in 2014.
"The overwhelming sentiment I took away from his story of love, loss and heartbreak was to not waste a second sitting around waiting for the opportune time to take a risk, make a change, travel the world or go after your dreams; no matter how unattainable they may seem at the onset. The hardest part is starting, the greatest regret is never trying..."
Sláinte leat, Sam
We'll see you upon your return. Slán go fóill.
