Staff ‘Devastated’ After Famous Dublin Dog Is Killed At Rathfarnham Daycare

The DSPCA has said that staff have been left “devastated” by the accidental death of a dog in their care.

Buddy aka Ted The Dublin Pug had been dropped at the organisation’s doggie daycare in Rathfarnham by owner Ciara, who was shocked to receive a call an hour later to tell her that her dog had died.

It’s believed that Buddy, who had his own YouTube channel, was attacked by a larger dog at the centre and died from asphyxiation.

Ciara told The Sunday Times that she was still in shock at the news and raised concerns about the level of supervision at the centre.

A spokesperson for the organisation confirmed that there were five staff members monitoring 43 dogs at the centre at the time of the incident.
