Alan Fisher

Yes, it’s happened again.

Due to the heavy rainfall last night, Irish Water confirmed ‘that wastewater overflows have occurred from their treatment plant network’.

Because of this, there is now a bathing prohibition for ‘Seapoint, Sandycove, 40ft, Killiney, and Whiterock.

The prohibition will stay in place until 6 pm, Saturday, August 10.

DLR said that ‘Testing has been undertaken early this morning. We will continue to assess the risk to water quality based on test results and information provided by Irish Water’.
