The National have just made some Irish fans very happy with the announcement that the New Yorkers will be playing gigs in Dublin and Cork this September – following a release of their latest album.

The album, set to be released in September 8, is called ‘Sleep Well Beast’.

According to Entertainment.ie, the band is set to play three Irish dates in September; one at Cork’s Songs From a Safe Harbour festival (which guitarist Bryce Dessner is involved in) on September 16 at Cork Opera House, and two at Dublin’s Vicar Street on September 17 and 18.

Tickets for the Vicar Street gig are priced at €57 and will be on sale from Ticketmaster online and usual outlets from Friday, May 19. However, tickets are limited to two per person, and photo ID will be required for ticket holders on the night.
