Locals in Sandycove have been calling for the anti-social behaviour at the Forty Foot to be curbed.

The Irish Examiner reports, the local residents have complained about public drinking at the spot, as well as couples having sex.

Minister for Justice and Equality Charlie Flanagan has apparently asked An Garda Síochana for a report on the problem before he takes any further steps.

According to the Irish Examiner, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown county councillor Cormac Devlin is aware of the allegations made of the anti-social behaviour.

Exact details of the incidences are not yet known.
