Gardaí are investigating two separate shooting incidents in Dublin last night, which left two men dead.
The first took place in the Sunset House on Summerhill in the north city centre around 9.30pm. According to a report in the Irish Independent, the victim was named locally as Michael ‘Mickey’ Barr, and had been associated with the dissident Republican movement in the past.
It’s believed he had been supplying arms to the Hutch gang, and was involved in the planning of the Regency Hotel shooting in February that left David Byrne dead – and kickstarted the most recent wave of gang violence in the capital.
