There’s A Really Good Reason Why Dublin’s Underground Metro Has Been Delayed

Darragh Berry

On Tuesday it was announced that Dubliners’ dreams of getting their fancy underground Metro was back on track.

However, lots of people were asking the same question – why is it taking so fecking long to decide whether it’s on or off.

The plan for the metro is currently being revised (again) by the Government but The Irish Examiner believes there’s a very good reason for the revision this time around.

The publication states a report is suggesting that plans for Dublin’s Metro North are being looked at again in the hope that they can unlock large tracts of land for housing.

After all, more housing and more public transport is something that is badly needed in the capital.

While nothing is finalised just yet, the capital plan will be published on Friday which will hopefully reveal all.
