These Three Dublin Beaches Have Failed To Meet EU Swimming Standards

fiodhna_hm

Six different swimming spots across Ireland have failed water testing conducted by inspectors from The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Minimum clean water tests at the six beaches found that the water quality meant that swimmers had a one in 10 risk of picking up a bug.

The Dublin beaches were Rush South beach, Loughshinny and Merrion Strand. Other beaches across the country that failed to meet the minimum water standards were Front Strand at Youghal in Cork, Duncannon in Wexford, and Ballyloughane in Galway.
