What was once known to many as the Standard Life building on O’Connell Street, was transformed back in 2015 into the illustrious Coco Bó, an ice cream parlour, chocolate factory and coffee hub, all in one.
Tipperary man Martin Ryan was at the helm of the treat-filled ship, boasting chocolate-filled recipes that Dublin had never seen before.
However, that time has come to an end.
The chocolate café is now ‘permanently closed’, and hearts across the county have simultaneously broken.
A heartbreaking day for local businesses, independent start-ups and those with a penchant for chocolate.
