If you need something to put a smile on your face this morning, we might have found it.
Josie Brennan has been working as a lollipop lady at St Mary’s School in Lucan for 17 years but recently decided to retire from the role.
Her last day of work took place this week and the teachers, students and parents went all out to mark the occasion.
In a post to the school’s Facebook page, Josie was described as “the most loved lollipop lady in Ireland”.
“She has kept our boys safe for the last 17 years. Best wishes in your retirement Josie.”
