A Dublin Spar is celebrating its second big win in six months with the news that a Quick Pick selection ticket, bought in the shop, scooped up €250,000 in this week’s draw.
The shop itself is the Spar in Waterville, Blanchardstown 15.
According to The Herald, the store also sold a winning €500,000 EuroMillions Plus ticket last December.
Shop owner Kevin Farrelly had this to say about the second win: “With two life-changing lottery wins in the space of a couple of months, we’re certainly proving to be a lucky charm for our customers.”
Lotto players from the west Dublin vicinity are being urged to check their tickets as the €250,000 prize is still unclaimed.
Shop worker Jimmy Khan believes the winner is from the surrounding area:
“Most of our customers would be from the surrounding area so I think the winner has to be somebody from around here. It definitely wasn’t someone who works here. I don’t know why we’re so lucky, but hopefully this win will attract more people into the shop.”
