If you've ever cycled in Dublin then you know it's an absolute minefield. Cycling lanes are often nowhere to be found, cars and bikes mingle together on already cramped roads, and now there's additional Luas tracks to content with.
Dublin Cycling Campaign posted this week on the increased dangers of cycling due to the Luas tracks and urged any cyclists who have had an accident in Dublin on their bike to log the incident on this extremely helpful map by Dublin Inquirer.
The map shows you where the majority of cycling accidents have occurred in the city since 2015
The areas that have the highest rates of recorded accidents include:
- College Green/College Street
- O'Connell Street Bridge
- Wexford Street and junction with Cuffe Street
- Bridge Street Upper (new NCAD)
The map is a vital tool for anyone cycling around the city - check it out here and know which areas to be extra, extra aware on.
