Traffic In The City Centre Is At A Standstill Following A Crash On Wexford Street
Nobody's injured, thankfully.
It's one of the busiest shopping days of the year, and the last day where you'd want something like this to happen.
But unfortunately, a minor crash on Wexford Street has brought the south city centre to an absolute standstill.
The upside to this is that nobody's been hurt, according to this tweet from the guards – but it could be an incredibly stressful evening for a lot of people trying to get home and out of the cold.
Dublin Traffic Alert: Gardai en route to traffic collision on Wexford Street. Traffic has come to a standstill, no injuries.— An Garda Síochána (@GardaTraffic) December 10, 2015
And it's not the only incident on the roads of Dublin this evening...
Dublin: M50 Nthbnd betwn jctns 14, Dun Laoghaire & 13 Dundrum, vehicle broken down in lane 2 of motorway. Please approach area with caution— An Garda Síochána (@GardaTraffic) December 10, 2015
You know what?
Maybe this is the perfect excuse to leave the car in town, grab a mulled wine while the madness subsides, then get the bus or Luas home and pick up the aul wheels tomorrow.
Sure go on.
