The Dublin Legends, an offshoot of Irish music legends The Dubliners, have confirmed via their Facebook page that leading member and guitar player Eamonn Campbell has passed away aged 70.Â
Campbell, who was originally from Drogheda, worked with the Dubliners from the mid-’80s and played a major part in their exposure to audiences in the UK and beyond.
He had recently been touring with the Dublin Legends and would traditionally play to packed crowds at Vicar Street during the festive season.Â
People have been paying tribute to Campbell online.
