Good news for commuters, as two Luas strikes that were scheduled to take place this week have been cancelled, following a recommendation by the Labour Court yesterday.
The court intervened in order to bring a resolution to the slow-moving negotiations between the Transdev operating company and Luas drivers, suggesting an 18.3% pay increase for the drivers over the next four years, according to TheJournal.ie.
Following this recommendation, which has not yet been accepted, the 4-hour stoppages which were due to take place on Thursday June 2 and Friday June 3 have now been called off.
