Two British tourists were stabbed in an apparently unprovoked attack on Blessington Street in D7 last night.
The pair, who were in Dublin to attend a stag party, were walking down the street around 1am when they were approached by a man in his 30s who tried to talk to them.
The man then stabbed both tourists in their stomachs before running away.
The two men, aged 36 and 38, were then rushed to the Mater Hospital for treatment on their superficial wounds, according to Independent.ie.
No money was taken from the victims and the Gardaí believe that the attack was completely unprovoked.
The victims wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.
