UPDATE: Travel Chaos As Luas Services Not Expected To Return To Normal Until Tomorrow

LUAS has released a statement to update commuters after a truck crashed into overhead cables earlier today. 

Services on the red line between Red Cow, Tallaght and Saggart are now not expected to be back to normal until tomorrow. 

The update reads: 

“NB: Services between Red Cow and Saggart/Tallaght are not expected to return before end of schedule this evening at 00.30am. 

“Please allow extra time to travel especially as we come into Peak Traffic this evening. We hope that a full service will be restored by first service tomorrow morning at 5.30am.“

LUAS tickets are valid on Dublin Bus and an alternative bus service will be serving all stops between Red Cow and Saggart/Tallaght.

The LUAS green line is running as normal.
