Iceland’s low-cost airline, WOW air have announced that they will be flying to JFK airport from Spring of next year.

Dubliners will be able to fly into New York’s central airport from April 26 with fares as low as €129.99 one way.

This will mark WOW air’s second route into the city as they already fly into Newark and will be increasing the number of weekly flights there to thirteen a week from May 29 of next year.

However the flights will not be direct, and travellers will make a stop in Iceland’s capital, Rejkjavik.

The founder and CEO, Skúli Mogensen of the airline said, “since launching our Newark route last year, we’ve seen increasing demand from our Irish passengers looking for more ways to travel to the East Coast.”

The special price of €129.99 one way to JFK will be available on selected flights for travel between April until June 2018 and September-October 2018.
