Rip Off Dublin Is Alive And Well - The €7.40 Pint

Pints of beer have never been especially cheap in Dublin but one Irish bar has been ripping off patrons and tourists for years with astronomic pricing. Oliver St John Gogartys have been in trouble a few times for the price of their pints but they don't seem to give a fuck and have instead decided to take things to a new level with the €7.40 Pint. They might be in the heart of Temple Bar with high rents and the pint was probably served late into the night when prices rise but this is a complete disgrace.

Tourists have stopped coming here because of the high pricing and the greed that came with the Celtic Tiger and despite so many great Dublin venues trying to change the perception you still have idiots perpetuating the stigma of Ireland being an expensive rip off destination. They are a business and it is their right to charge whatever they want based on supply and demand but this simply isn't cool. It hurts Dublin in the long wrong. When I think of tourists having to pay this I am ashamed, embarrased and disgusted in equal measure. What a disgrace.
