PICS: This New Restaurant And Bar On Bolton Street Has Got Everything You Need

seank

We’ve found a new spot for you to try the next time you fancy eating out: BO·CO.

Located in what used to be Bodkins Bar and The Hungry Mexican, this D1 restaurant and bar only opened in December after a lengthy process of importing a wood-fired oven from France and taste-testing their menu to perfection.

While the menu takes its influence from New York pizza joints, the decor has got an industrial theme going on, harking way back to the building’s history of being a warehouse.

BO·CO (short for ‘Bolton Corner’) is all about wood-fired pizza, with the menu changing on a weekly basis at present. Right now their menu has 10 pizza options as well as six starters (including mouthwatering wood-fired buffalo wings with chunky blue cheese dip and celery).

Their most popular pizza is proving to be their white pizza number 7, made with wood roasted garlic oil base, mozzarella, ricotta, baby leaf spinach, sundried tomato, pine nuts, honey and parmesan shavings. Nom.

They also have a broad range of craft and international beer on tap, wine from Wine Lab, a full cocktail menu, and about 30 gins to choose from. So you’ll be well watered.

Speaking about what BO·CO has to offer, owner Colm Bodkin told Lovin Dublin,

“I recommend BO·CO as a complete package to people, apart from our delicious pizza we’ve put a lot of effort into the entire offering… Dublin 1 has a lot going on right now, especially around Capel Street where we are, so this is a great alternative for those not looking to go across the river”.

You can find BO·CO at 57 Bolton Street.
