  • Vanilla Ice-Cream
  • Crunchies
  • Malteasers
  • Hazelnuts

This isn’t so much a recipe, but more of a tasty throw-everything-together treat that literally takes seconds.

Sometimes you may have a craving for something sweet, but are just not bothered making something time-consuming. Or maybe you have friends over for dinner and don’t want to waste time sweating over a dessert when you’ve already spent the afternoon making your starters and mains.

All you need to do is get your favourite chocolate, sweets, nuts or fruits and crush them up and sprinkle them over a good vanilla ice-cream. So quick and easy, but always a crowd-pleaser.

Step 1

Scoop out your vanilla ice cream. It's best to leave the ice cream out of the freezer for 2 minutes before you start scooping so it softens a little.

Step 2

Roughly chop up your hazelnuts.

Step 3

Chop up the crunchie and malteasers. You could also just give them a bash with a rolling pin or crush them with your hands, whatever works.

Step 4

Sprinkle generously on top of your ice cream.

Step 5

Dig in!

This is a total cheat’s dessert but it tastes delicious, so who’s complaining?
